By volunteering at TORBAY you join a team of more than 120 people who give their time to serve alongside our 200+ staff. We could not do what we do without our dedicated volunteers. They do make a real difference.

You can sign up for a set time each week or fortnight or you may want to join us for a specific project, the decision is yours.

What is there to do?
Volunteers can choose a number of voluntary activities across all of TORBAY’s services. Volunteers assist in providing:

• companionship
• social and recreational activities
• pastoral care
• drivers
• administration support

All volunteers undertake an induction course and are trained to be able to fulfill their role.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
We would welcome any enquiries from interested people who would like to serve at Torbay-Torquay or Parklands Retirement Haven as a volunteer in any of the following positions.

Torbay Aged Care and Retirement Village, Torquay
Companions
Do you have the heart of a volunteer? Do you want to change someone's life through a Social Support program? We have a number of residents that would benefit from visits by real people to sit and talk with them or to take them for walks in the grounds. One morning or afternoon per week or fortnight would greatly assist.

Coffee Shop Assistance
We have a very popular coffee shop with an automatic coffee machine (We will train you but it is very simple). We need volunteers to assist in this shop under the guidance of a Convenor and you would be working with another volunteer. Mornings only.

Bus Drivers
Available on a regular basis for 2 - 4 hours weekly or fortnightly to take residents for short shopping trips or outings.

Car Drivers
Available on a regular basis for 2 - 4 hours weekly or fortnightly to take residents for short shopping outings and to escort clients to and from appointments.

THE VILLAGE CATERER
Van Drivers
TORBAY operates a Meals Direct service to people in their own homes from our Production Kitchen in Urangan. We deliver cold meals 3 days a week in our vehicle. Positions are available for a Van Drivers one or two afternoons a week. These position could be shared with others to make it once a week or once a fortnight or once a month.
