Parklands Community Centre, "The Haven"
Torbay's building division, Torbay Constructions is developing the next stage of Parklands Retirement Haven.
Work was completed in the second week of December on "The Haven", a community centre for the growing retirement village.
Residents comments have ranged from "It is too beautiful to use" to "we don't deserve such a wonderful facility". John Sheehan and his contractors have built a very special building and will provide years of enjoyment to the residents of this village.
The Residents Christmas Party was held in the new Centre.
"The Haven" houses a games room, fitness centre, reading room, resident kitchen, bar, dining area, billiard room, BBQ area, pool and spa.
Behind the Pool area will be the residents garden and outdoor recreation area.
A Men's shed is being considered for this area as well.

Village Caterer Administration Offices
Work has been completed on the construction of two offices and a sales room at Production Kitchen for the Village Caterer. This work has been designed by Keystone Architects and is being built by Torbay Constructions.
Parklands Aged Care Facility
Torbay Constructions has been designing the next stage of the aged care facility together with Keystone Architects.
These plans were lodged with the Fraser Coast Regional Council before Christmas.
A start on construction is planned for the middle of 2012.
