There is a range of 1-bedroom homes with or without a garage, numerous 2-bedroom designs with both single or double garages, right through to executive-style 3-bedroom homes, some with ensuites and walk-in robes, with single or double garages.
These attractive brick homes have been constructed of quality materials, take advantage of the Hervey Bay climate in utilising the best possible aspect, and are both practical and aesthetically pleasing at the same time. The homes are offered for sale ready to occupy with quality floor coverings, white goods, and fittings. When selecting colour schemes for the independent living units, consideration is given to create a mutually pleasing décor, leaving residents to add their own individual touches with their furnishings. When circumstances allow, residents are given the option of selecting their own floor-coverings upon residency.
Our independent living units have non-slip tiled terraces, plenty of built-in robes, spacious bedrooms and living areas with security screens to all windows and doors. The door-locks are all on a master key system to ensure care staff can gain entry to your home if the emergency response system is activated.
All homes are equipped with SMARTCALLER telephones. The Smartcaller is used like a standard telephone, but is also connected into our emergency response system. As well as the ‘Help’ button on the phone, a pendant alarm is provided. Experienced clinical staff are on site 24 hours a day to assist in any emergency. Torbay Village Torquay has a sophisticated fire and evacuation alarm system, with all staff trained in evacuation procedures.
Smoke detectors are also connected to the emergency response system via the Smartcaller phone.
All Torbay Villages have PABX telephone systems.
All internal calls are free of charge. You can phone your friends in other homes on site, the Aged Care Facility, Administration and other Torbay villages at no cost.
Residents can have their own garden adjoining their home if they wish.
To ensure harmony amongst residents, we do not allow cats or dogs as pets. You may have fish and caged small birds, subject to approval.
Your home is YOUR home and your visitors are welcome to stay and have use of the village facilities free of charge. In fact, your visitors (including children) are encouraged to come and maintain their contact with you.
