Extra service provides a higher standard of accommodation, dining and personal services.

The 29 place Shawhaven Wing at Torbay–Torquay is an extra service facility.

It is open to all who can pay an accommodation bond. Many people believe that extra service is only for the rich but this is not so at our facility. Pensioners who can pay small bond can access this service.

With extra large air-conditioned rooms and choice of meals Shawhaven can add that little extra comfort in your twilight years.

The Bond is equivalent to the level that you would pay to enter low care.

Rather than reduce your disposable income, the small daily fee for the extra service facility is deducted from your Bond on leaving. To further protect you TORBAY guarantees that your extra service fee will not exceed the balance of your accommodation Bond.
